Leidos Technical Editor in CHESAPEAKE, Virginia


The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Technical Editor at Chesapeake, VA.


The primary function of this position is to review/edit documentation that is developed in support of the AN/SQQ89A(V)15 system for the US Navy. This may include reviewing Engineering Change Proposals, Technical Manuals, Customer Reports, internal processes/procedures, and updating/modifying content for consistency and standardization. Must be able to multi-task across numerous functional areas. Some travel may be required.


  • Following and maintaining local style guide.

  • Editing documentation in multiple formats to include xml.

  • Inputting technical content into editing tool.

  • Coordinate with Technical Writers to ensure content is ready for editing.

  • Update existing content into a format that adheres to customers standards.

Knowledge of the English language, grammar, usage and composition - experience in writing/editing technical content.

Typically requires a BA degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
