Constellis Accounting Specialist in Moyock, North Carolina
Reports to: General Ledger Supervisor
Primary Purpose: Prepare sales order invoices and process cash receipts.
Essential Functions: - Maintain overall invoice submission process for sales orders: inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards, delivery, payment information, updates reports for management. - Coordinate collection efforts for outstanding AR related to sales orders by working with Sales and Operations to contact delinquent customers. - Advise Sales/Scheduling of customers with historical payment issues. - Prepare cash transactions relating to daily banking activity including researching unknown transactions. Transactions are approved by Accounting management. - Record cash receipts for on-site facilities, such as Chow Hall and BBI. - Take deposits to the bank. - Assist with audits by providing supporting records and documentation. - Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience: - Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. - Two or more years of experience. - Experience in billing and cash receipts preferred. - Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite and in accounting/financial software required. - Deltek Costpoint experience strongly preferred. - Government contract experience including CASB and FAR requirements preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization (including management, peers, team members and customer-base). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion. Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Working Conditions: Work is based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 to 5:00, however (frequent/some) extended or weekend hours may be required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry file boxes and other awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs, including up and down stairs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
