We are looking to hire part-time Retail Ambassador at our beautiful spa, The Spa of Colonial Williamsburg. This spa is a hidden oasis just outside of Williamsburg s historic district.

Responsible for providing guests with comprehensive and professional guidance on all products, creating a seamless shopping experience from the treatment rooms through point of sale. Promotes, educates, sells and up-sells guests on retail products to meet expected revenue goals. Must have excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills and maintain a high level of customer service standards. Must have the ability to communicate with others, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism at all times.

Reporting to the Spa Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Engage with guests in a professional and polite manner, while providing extensive product knowledge.

Set and achieve personal sales goals, while supporting the goals of the spa team.

Liaise between service providers and front desk to sell and upsell products recommended to guests.

Build strong relationships with guests by contacting them to follow up on purchases, suggest new products, and invite them to upcoming events.

Ability to execute floor plans using a creative eye for product displays, as needed.

Ensure the spa boutique is neatly maintained and stock is replenished.

All cashiering duties.

Partake in stock-take and month end inventories.

Coordinate with Director of Spa Retail Experience, Spa Director, and spa team to execute special events on a quarterly basis.

Provide bi-monthly reporting and communication on all inventory and retail sales.


Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.

Previous experience within retail preferred.

Cosmetics experience, highly desirable.

Must be motivated and revenue-driven.

Must be of legal age to serve/sell alcohol (for event purposes).

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, while maintaining professionalism.

Must have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Strong leadership skills, highly preferred.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.

Must be organized, timely, and detailed-oriented.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Ability to work cohesively with the spa team.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time (entire shift).

Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.

Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.

Compensation: Hourly + Commission
